At the 2026 Fox Hole Shootout, Mossy Oak Properties' annual charity fundraiser event, a pair of guns were auctioned off to a crowd of about 1,000 folks.
We knew we had to do something special this year because it was the first Fox Hole Shootout since Mr. Fox's passing.
This pair of guns were the first of the official "Mr. Fox Gun of the Year." This first year's gun was actually a set--the "Pass It On" set. The idea was that these matching 12 and 28 ga Benelli Black Eagles would go to a father/mother and son/daughter type duo. Because Mr. Fox's legacy has always been and will always be about passing on the love of the outdoors to the next generation.
The guns were decorated with custom Bottomland military grade coatings and emblazoned with the Mr. Fox symbol on the stock.
After a lot of spirited bidding, the auctioneer finally declared "sold" to a local friend of the brand who bought the pair of guns for $31,000, the same price the first auctioned Mr. Fox Vest sold for. (All of which will be going to charities and conservation projects)
We're proud to be able to raise that kind of money for good causes and proud to keep instilling the "pass it on" mentality that encapsulated the man that was Mr. Fox Haas.
