Mosquito Fern: A Small Floating Red Plant in Your Pond

Mosquito fern is not often a problem in ponds, but it can become a problem in some wind-sheltered areas. If you see a small, red, floating plant on your pond, you will know what it is. As I’ve mentioned, after we finish taking waterfowl, our sportsmen can fish Catahoula Lake. The lake is famous for 1-1/2- to 2-1/2-pound crappie.
