Mossy Oak Fishing congratulates professional angler, Ott DeFoe on winning the 2020 Bass Pro Tour General Tire Stage Three Championship.

The tournament initially took place on Lake Fork while the championship round took place on Lake Athens, one hour south of Lake Fork.

With one hour remaining in the championship round, DeFoe was able to surge from a fifth-place position and 15 pounds off the lead to a championship finish with his closest competitor finishing 28 pounds behind him.

According to majorleaguefishing.com, DeFoe said, “That last hour was one of the more special hours that I have ever had in all of my time bass fishing.  I was idling through the bridge and could see the shadows of the fish on the graph.  I started casting to them and could feel the bait bumping off of the fish because there were so many there. It took me a few casts to get one to bite, but once you get them fired up, they usually start biting.”

“We are incredibly proud for Ott as he celebrates this substantial victory,” said Ben Maki, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior VP of Mossy Oak Fishing. “He is one of the classiest guys in the fishing community and we are proud to have him as part of the Mossy Oak Family.”
