Bill Sugg Mossy Oak PresidentMossy Oak president, Bill Sugg was recently inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame as a member of the 2019 class. This makes Sugg the fourth member of the Mossy Oak family to be added to one of the most accomplished groups of men and women of the outdoors.

Bill Sugg will be the first to tell you he was in the right place at the right time back in 1986 when Toxey Haas introduced him to his Mossy Oak Bottomland pattern that went on to change the way people hunt and founded a brand that has endeared itself to the hearts and minds of outdoors enthusiasts everywhere.

“It was quite the special moment for me, the Haas family, and the entire Mossy Oak brand family to see Bill get some more of the recognition he so richly deserves with his induction into the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame,” said Toxey Haas, Founder and CEO of Mossy Oak. “As I said with my introduction, without Bill Sugg, there would likely be no Mossy Oak today. He has ALWAYS been, from the earliest days, our rock of stability, integrity, and character. We are all so grateful for not only the continued spark he provides the Mossy Oak brand, but numerous charitable initiatives and within the industry we love. In my opinion, the word ‘legend’ is very appropriate!”

Sugg counts Mossy Oak’s long-standing works of philanthropy in a variety of non-profit arenas among its proudest accomplishments, paralleling the successful growth of the company and the loyal consumer following the brand enjoys. By supporting the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, and conservation/sportsmen’s rights groups like the NWTF, DU, QDMA, B.A.S.S., the NRA and others, he believes the brand’s efforts help secure our outdoor tradition’s future, as well as confirm Mossy Oak’s responsibility to our industry and community.
