How to Crate Train a Puppy

Crate training a puppy is a simple concept that is easy to do. To ensure crate training success, you must remain consistent. Begin crate training your puppy as soon as you get home. Take a treat and throw it into the kennel. When the puppy follows it in there, close the kennel door. Use the command "kennel" as the dog makes his or her way towards the dog crate. Leave the puppy in the crate for a while and repeat the process multiple times a day. After a period of two to three days, the puppy should be entering the crate on command. Then you can cut out the treats. At Mossy Oak, our four-legged friends work, play and live outdoors with us. One of the most important decisions we will ever make is the food that we feed them. Nature's Menu provides natural wholesome energy and complete nutrition that active dogs need with a flavor that they absolutely love. Do your best friend a favor and pick up a bag at your local Dollar General, they'll let you know just how good it is.
