Pursuit Channel Announces Major Cable Distribution Expansion

GLENWOOD, AL -- Pursuit Channel, America's most widely distributed hunting, fishing, shooting network, has recently added cable distribution to about 60,000 households via an agreement with Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel), a diversified telecommunications company headquartered in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Specifically, Shentel provides TV, voice and Internet services to franchise areas in Virginia, West Virginia, and portions of western Maryland. The company also leases fiber optic facilities throughout its service area.

"We are excited to add the Pursuit Channel to our lineup," said Tom Whitaker, Vice President of Shentel Cable. "The channel will do well with our demographic. Our customers live in areas where hunting and fishing and other outdoor activities are part of an important tradition."

Pursuit Channel will be available to Shentel cable customers in the Fans Choice package on or after Aug. 19. Fans Choice is a package of channels that offers a variety of programming - from the fields and streams of Pursuit Channel to the football fields of NFL RedZone.
