Mossy Oak Properties, Inc. hosted the inaugural “Fox Hole Shootout,” a golf, sporting clays, and dinner to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Catch-A-Dream Foundation, and Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement (SOLE) on June 6, 2017 in West Point, Mississippi. Nearly 700 total participants and over 50 volunteers assisted in raising a net in excess of $115,000, which was recently distributed to the three charities.

The event began with sporting clays at Prairie Wildlife, an Orvis-endorsed wing shooting lodge near West Point, and continued with a four-man scramble at the new Mossy Oak Nature’s Golf course.  The day was capped off with a dinner and live auction that evening at Town Creek Pavilion, which featured food prepared over “live fire” by several award winning chefs, and entertainment by acclaimed Nashville songwriters Bobby Pinson, Kelly Lovelace, and Neil Thrasher.

Chris Hawley, CEO/President and Co-founder of Mossy Oak Properties commented on the success of the first-year event, saying:

“The Mossy Oak enterprise lives by the belief that the good we do lives long after we are gone. We could not be more pleased that our work in this year’s event will benefit three deserving charities, and we look forward to growing the impact our event has for these charities in the years to come. Our success this year would not have been possible if not for our sponsors, volunteers, and participants, and we cannot thank all who made this year a success enough. The generosity of everyone involved was overwhelming.”

The 2018 Fox Hole Shootout will be held Thursday, June 7 in West Point, Mississippi.  For more information on sponsoring or participating, please contact Mossy Oak Properties Corporate Headquarters a (662) 494-4139.
