Trail Camera Placement

Don’t just pick a random tree and throw up a camera. It’s important to have a strategy when placing your trail camera. A trail camera strategy should include knowing where the deer are traveling and making sure you're putting the trail camera in the best place to capture good photos of the moving deer.

You  may not always have a tree in the place where you need the camera to be. You may need to set up a post to mount your camera on and make sure it is properly angled. Pay attention to water and food sources, because these are some of the best places for candid pictures of deer as they move naturally from place to place.

To get the best pictures from your trail camera, be sure it is properly mounted and set up for your chosen location.
