Caddo Parish Louisiana and tree farm of Bubba Raspberry is the next stop for GameKeepers. Bubba was the 2012 Louisiana Tree Farmer of the Year. As Bubba says, “My pleasure has become my life’s work.” And his life’s work is Qua Paw Tree Farm, named for a creek that runs through the property. It’s a diversified operation that embodies forest management, recreation, wildlife habitat, and mineral production.

This week, GameKeepers visits Fred Law and Enon Plantation. Fred Law grew up wanting to hunt and be in the outdoors. He appreciates the beauty of the woods and is grateful that he can spend his days in the woods, his “office.” “Used to, people, they might have planted a field or two and more or less just went out and hammered a board or two on a tree and that was their stand. Now people are looking at ‘what can I do, what can I plant year round to better help my property, better help my wildlife?’”
