According to Mark Drury, “You don’t choose your obsession; your obsession chooses you.” The Drury family obsession with the outdoors began with their grandfather. For him, hunting was a necessity. They had to hunt to eat. Beginning with rabbits and squirrels, Mark and Terry developed a passion for the outdoors that was learned from their grandfather, and it wasn’t long before they were hooked. Today, they share their obsession through Drury Outdoors, their nearly 30-year-old company. It was a partnership with Mossy Oak early on that fanned the flames of their passion for hunting into an all-encompassing outdoors lifestyle.

Ben has only harvested one of the 47 bucks on his property but he says, “The ones that mean the most are the ones my family got.” This successful family hunt led to some great bucks, but the big picture is caring for what you’ve got and having a servant spirit. Living the outdoors lifestyle is bigger than a prize at the end. It’s managing the land, stewarding the resource and sharing it family.
