We tend to really only use them in wide open fields. Myself i am not a huge fan of them but sometimes i think the situation dictates something more than just an ole hen standing out there. Usually in the woods it seems just having a hen or no decoy at all has been sucessful enough. I was just curious as to what everyone else thought.

I absolutely believe in decoys.

I got my best Tom ever in Missouri some years back:

Last year using the gear you see, including B-Mobile, I got this good Tom:

I don't use hen or gobbler decoys, but in the right situation I can see how they might work. If you are working a boss gobbler thats alone and is pissed off at the world, then yes I can see them working, but if you are working a gobbler thats coming and he has been beat up a time or two and sees your gobbler decoy it could prevent him from coming all the way in.
Just my 2 cents
God Bless

They work great on those hard field turkeys that ignore calls. I had five gobblers to come in last season that I did know were on my property. Don't use it on ever hunt if you are in the same area. Turkeys will catch on to soon or later if you do.
