Had a decent night on stand last night. It started with 24 turkey coming into the plot to feed. Then some doe followed by those birds again. Also has a little buck chasing some doe off about 100 yards. A few grunts and he came in like he was on a string sniffing all the way. Sure is good to see that he was chasing.
Then just before dark two doe were hanging out feeding. The one spooks and starts staring off into the timber before they both bolt. I heard something coming so I grabbed the bow and got ready. Sure enough a yote comes to the edge of the plot and freezes. I drew and left one fly.....THWACK! The dog started spinning and growling. She moved off and I could hear the growling again. Found her about 15 yards away arrow still in. Wacked my first bow coyote!
