2009/2010 Deer Contest (Whitetail, Mule Deer, Black Tail, and Coues deer are all accepted for contest entry) No elk, stag, fallow or other exotics allowed.)
However, if legal in your state to shoot, BIGFOOT or Chupracabras, taken by legal methods and pictures posted, will get you an additional 50 points
1) You must be a member of Mossyoak and have at least 25 posts to enter, or have 25 posts by the time the contest names are drawn. (if you do not Fluff away to get them).
2) Entry dead line is September 15th 2009, deer entry will end Febraury 15th, 2009
3) Entry to contest will only be accepted when you post the following in the ENTRY Thread
Screen Name
Real Name
State of residency
dates of season opening and closing
4) Teams will be drawn at random.
5) Number of teams will be determined by total entrants, divided by a number that makes for an even amount of members on each Team. Should there be an odd team, late registers will be addded to that team at the descetion of the judges.
6) Once Teams are drawn, a thread will be established for each team, the team members of each team are responsible for coming up with a name.
7) Each participant will only be allowed to submit two (2) deer. If there are four members on a team, and one person does not kill a deer and the other three each kill two, then only six deer will be counted. Tough luck if you draw someone who does not kill.
Bucks will get a score of 5 points for being a deer, plus one (1) score point for every tine or point 1 inch or longer.
9) A doe is worth 5 points, whether you kill it with a gun, bow, spear, slingshot, stick or any other method that is legal in your state of residence or the state you kill it in.
10) You can hunt as many states or countries you want, only two deer per participant can be entered.
11) UPGRADES: If you kill a doe and buck, you have two deer up for points. If you kill another buck, then you can upgrade the bucks score for the doe in replacement.
12) You must have a picture with you and the deer in it. If you think a point is questionable, put a tape measure next to it. All the points on the deers rack must be visible, if you need to, take multiple pics from different angles (no you do not have to have your face in each of these pictures)
12A) Picture must have a date and your screen name written on a peice of paper visible and readable in submitted picture.
13) No pictures of caped, skulls, racks or mounts are acceptable.....only pics of the deer with the head and rack still attached.
14) If the state you kill the deer in requires tags, tag must be attached to the deer when the picture is taken and a pic of the tag submitted.
15) No roadkills are accepted. Deer must be taken with an approved weapon during the respective section of the season for that weapon.
16) This contest is all about bragging rights. However, the winners not only get bragging rights, they get a free one year subscription to www.mossyoak forums  ))
17) Everyone here has always been respctable and honest, so the honor system will apply. If you cheat, you only cheat yourself. If caught, you lose the respect of a lot of good folks.
18) First and foremost........... DO NOT ENTER unless you plan on actually hunting and participiting with your Team........... If you join up and you are put on a team, and you do not show up or participate, your team members can request you be taken off their team and eliminated from the contest.
Too many "I wanna be on a team" sign up each year never to be seen again. We still have the list and threads from last year, if you signed up last year and then just disappeared, do not think you will be allowed to enter this year.
19) As I am the "Benevolent Dictator" of this contest, my descion and rulings in any disputes will be final.
Judges will be appointed at later date, if you legally kill, before teams are drawn, you score will count towards the team your are drwn onto.
