| ok... im new to elk hunting i have never been before. I am going with my dad and i need to know if you can get a license for small game while you are elk hunting so we can have some fresh meat. If someone could help out i would greatly appreciate?

In CO you need to purchase a small game license, $56 for non-resident adult, $1 for under 18. If your elk hunting I'd focus on elk. If you tag out early you could always go purchase one. I've always seen a good amount of blacktail grouse while elk hunting in CO. Many present a bow shot if you catch them on the ground.

| well i was just wondering cuz im just going along for the xperience but the reason i want to get one before we go is that we are going to pack in so when we get in we are in but thank you for the information
