Hello everyone. Not for sure if I am in the right section / forum to post this question in or not so I will copy this and post it in the Wildlife Management section as well. I'm looking at buying a game feeder with a timer. I don't want to put a whole lot of money into one since I have had to re-arrange my budget due to the economy. Getting laid off of work every other week here and there and having to take a 5% pay decrease is starting to take its toll on my yearly spending of hunting supplies and such,... but,... anyway back to the main topic, a Feeder. I know that there is several on the market and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or input. I have gone to Cabelas and to Bass Pro and read some of the reviews and now I'm turning to all of you for info and input. I am looking to keep the price range around or below $100.00. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Also I was wondering if anyone owns or knows anyone that owns the "Kenco" Feeders with the straight shooter timer attachment. These look pretty awesome but I was wondering how loud they may be. I know some feeders are loud when they go off and once the deer or turkey get used to them its like ringing the dinner bell.  I have even done some research on making my own or making homemade gravity feeders and probably will give this a shot but I also know that once the deer find them it will be a job just to keep them refilled....... Again, any info or input is greatly appreciated.

| I have had a Remington feeder for 4 years got it for around a 100.00 bucks. It's been running fine. I can put over 250 lbs in it.I have seen them at walmart. I love it !!!

hey thanks button buck for the response - i will be looking at the remington feeders and keep them in mind.
Anyone want to supply any info on the Kenco feeders with the straight shooter attachment. I really like the looks of it but looks are not every thing. Was wondering if they are real lound when going off and putting out food or if any jamming up occurs...?

I had Kenco, tree rats woulld get in there , even with the extra plate to protect the straight shooter feeder they chewed up the plastic blades and made the feeder inoperable.
I use the Kenco spinner, does not throw far.
I just put up a Moultrie 30 Gallon E-Z feeder. Nice features, pain to put together and you better have camp stakes to keep it held down. Stupid varmint attachment holds on to feeder with twist ties! Only good part is it holds 200 pounds of corn, lockable top; feeder works at 6 time settings and length of time you want it to spin. Does not throw far. OK for $129.
Someday I may need to get a Sweeney feeder
