Got this Northern Pike yesterday using a jumbo shiner on a tip up. Ran 5 times before I got it through the hole. 32 inches my personal best through the ice. Quick picture then back in the water she went

Nice catch, Mike! Where do you hail from? I am currently living in southern MN. Of course, I ICEFISH! WHOO! Northerns are always fun as well as largemouth bass through the ice. Wanna try 2 lbs test line and test your skill along with patience to get those big fish out of the holes? Always fun, fun, fun! Introduced it to a buddy of mine with the system because he got so frustrated that I out icefish him. Shown him, he freaked out and called me INSANELY SICK! HAHA! Proved him after catching that memorable 6 lbs largemouth bass after 20 minutes of fight. His face went It was hilarious! I turned a 37 years old man into a 4 year old kid that day. I still crack up about it. Thought I would share you guys my experience.

Yeah? Cool! I live about 30 miles away from Iowa border but I tend to icefish a lot in Faribault area (about 35 minutes south from Twin Cities area). It's nice to know someone who loves icefishing, Mike.
