Some of my euro mounts are done. I figured I'd show you all how they're looking. The deer are from this year (08) and the bear from last (07). In the past week I received notice on the bear's age, 12 years old based on cementum ring in the tooth root. That's older than what I thought.

You have to see the upper teeth on the PA buck. This dude has got some dental issues, crooked and there's only 5 on the one side! The skull isn't very symetrical either, interesting for sure.

Thanks Ernie, to bad about not getting on a shooter. Better luck next year.
The skull measured 18 1/8", 6' nose to tail. This picture doesn't do justice but here it is. He's my best one to date.

Nice work. You do them yourself?
No bucks for me this year either, so the buck I shot last year (my first one) is still all by himself on the wall. Decided to do the euro mount on him myself. Cheaper, quicker and it came out pretty good for a first attempt.

Those look awesome Adam! That is one old bear! I bet he fooled many hunters in his day.

Yeah, he's definitely been "dodging the bullet" for a long time!
My bear was only 2.5 yrs, female, and had never had cubs yet (as they test the ovaries).
That is a great mature bear there Adam..... and his Euro will display nicely!
