I live in Northern Ohio, and I am moving to South Carolina in 3 weeks. I have a shoulder mount that I have to put in storage, as the family member I am moving in with will not allow me to hang in their house. What can I do to insure that my mount wont get destroyed by bugs or heat and humidity? I dont know anyone down there yet, so I cant give it to anyone to keep for me. Any suggestions?

Keep it in a controlled storage unit if you can spare the bills...

Not sure if putting it in a large 5mil or so plastic bag would work? How about a big tote?

tough call...

Take it back to the taxidermist that mounted it or one you may want to use down there ***for temporary storage***. They like to have their work around to show potential customers.

Check at your local [new place or old place] sportsman's club.

Ask a good friend where you're at now, to put it on his wall until you get settled.

Drop it off at my place on your way south... I have plenty of room on my walls!!!

I am moving to Simpsonville. Should be there around the 29th of Dec. Best news is, I met a guy down there who was gracious enough to offer to habg my mount in his home until I can put it mine, so now I dont have to store it!
