Hey Gang!
I'm new to the muzzleloader and need some advice. Have been trying to read up on propellants and primers. The more I read the more confused I am. I started shooting loose pyrodex with powerbelt and a standard 209. Was thinking about going with Triple 7's or the Blackhorn 209 (loose powder on both). Would the standard 209 primers be too hot in my .50 CVA Kodiak Mag, or should I go with the other Primer, the 209M (I think that's right). My shots will probably be limited to 50 yards or less, so maybe it makes no difference at all. All things considered, I think my cleanup will be easier with either, so I guess I win either way. Any help you can give me is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
K
