As the subject says, I need some tips for mule deer hunting. last year i got a 3x3 but the only reason i got it was someone in my camp told me they saw it bedded down and took me to where he was. Yes it was a nice little buck, but I want to do it the real way. more like not having to rely on the people in my camp site. as i said anything helps and i would appreciate it. THANKS!

| A spotting scope, a good vantage point and a lot of glassing! Read Mike Eastmans "High Country Mulies" he gives more good tactics in that one book than aything else I've ever read.

| This is my first year and i am hoping to get one. i do not have a spotting scope, i wish i did, but i got a good pair of binoculars. I also read that mule deer hunting book by mike eastman, and that is a very good book. There is also another book called Public Land Mulies. it is from the eastmans also. i have not read it, but i would like to read it some time. i think it is a pretty good book.

I need to get a copy of that book. The Eastmans really know their stuff when it comes to mulies. I've had mulie tags in my pocket on quite a few hunts but yet to have a shot a good one. I'm giving it a try in November which is when they'll be rutting. I seen a lot of buck activity two years ago when I hunted that time of year, just didn't have a chance at a shooter.
