I've been having some issues with some of my trailcams. I was just wondering what others are seeing for lifespan of thier trailcams. Here is where I'm at with two of mine.

One is a Stealthcam STC-WD1, this one takes a black picture quite often. I thought it was the flash from the timestamp but after this morning I don't think so. The first pix of me approaching was okay, then two blackouts. This cam is 2.5 years old.

Another is a Wildview X3, the last two times I've had it out it's taken less than 20 pix and has dead batteries when I check it a week or so later. This cam is less than a year old.

What are others seeing for a lifespan? Anyone have cams that have been good to then for 5+ years or so? Are the more expensive cams worth it when it comes to lifespan?

My X3 is about 2 or 3 years old now. I'm begining to see a lot of whiteouts and blackouts with some that just didn't take or they took with discoloration. I just shrugged it off, but I'm begining to wonder. I've often thought about getting a new camera that is a little more costly like a LeafRiver or Cuddeback and see what happens, but buying an X3 or X4 every two years for 4 years is still cheaper than some cuddebacks or leafrivers.
