Heres somethinmg....
[quote]FL_Cracker (6/4/2008)
Some of my buddies and I went offshore in the Gulf on Sunday and had a pretty good day.

Ended up with 10 grouper, including 1 Scamp Grouper (no that's not what they make Shrimp Scampi out of either... )

Nice Catch, little unknown Fact,Scampi is not really shrimp.I is actually A Lobster found in only two places in the world,I believe it's Ice-Land and I can't remember the other one,but as a retired Executive Chef of Many years I have actually had it in my Kitchen and served it,just to show people what scampi really is. I taught a cooking Class Two times a month to thirty to forty
Rich women that paid 60 bucks a pop for a five course Demo style cooking class.I was asked to get Married 4 times from that class,a little sample of some Game I cooked,my Specialty.
Elk Chops.

Several Sea Bass & Bluestriped Grunts

One small but decent Kingfish (several hookups that got cut off)...

We also hooked up with a big ole Jew Fish (or Goliath Grouper if you want to be PC about it)... My buddy Vance and I had to take turns fighting it. He finally broke us off (literally) and our line off after about 40 minutes. I'm not sure why we decided to wrestle with a 300 pound fish that was content on the bottom of the ocean but it was fun as hell anyway...

Now for the pix (sorry they were taken with my cell phone):
