Some of my buddies and I went offshore in the Gulf on Sunday and had a pretty good day.
Ended up with 10 grouper, including 1 Scamp Grouper (no that's not what they make Shrimp Scampi out of either...  )
Several Sea Bass & Bluestriped Grunts
One small but decent Kingfish (several hookups that got cut off)...
We also hooked up with a big ole Jew Fish (or Goliath Grouper if you want to be PC about it)... My buddy Vance and I had to take turns fighting it. He finally broke us off (literally) and our line off after about 40 minutes. I'm not sure why we decided to wrestle with a 300 pound fish that was content on the bottom of the ocean but it was fun as hell anyway...

man I can taste them already and they haven't hit the butter sauce marinade yet(ingredients in the marinade is kept secret...locked up tighter than the Col's recipee!! WOOT)!!!!!

We're gonna smoke that kingfish tonight and grill up some fillets...y'all are more than welcome to come over! Bring another few 30 packs of CL's though if you come...
