Have you seen them in the new catalogs yet?
They have stepped it up a notch for sure! I can't wait to get my paws on some!
I have always been a fan of their design, just never pulled the trigger...
7 mp, IR or Flash, HUGE built in viewing screen.....and they are wrapped in Mossy Oak Treestand camo!
BUT....it takes 4 D cell and 3 C cell batteries! WOW!

Look it up on Cabelas.com and check out the feedback on the model you want to buy.
I have heard a few bad reports about L/R, and I just can't get my brain around having a 4.5volt system in the same box as a 6volt system.
What is really queer is two different size batteries.......WTF?
Somebody spent too many years at "engineering school" to figure that one out!
Sorry, I don't mean to sound so negative but that's a lot of $$$ to hang out where someone can just walk off with it!
Good luck with what ever you buy.

Price seems pretty average for the MP and the ability to view your pictures right inside the camera.
The viewer is probably why there are two power sources, one for the camera and one for the viewer. Though why they would do it that way does not seem to make much sense.
I WAS thinking about getting my first trail cams this year. Before the microwave, dishwasher, and various other unexpected bills cropped up. AAAARRRGGHHH...

I haven't heard anything negative yet, I am actually planning on buying one within the year.
