So would you manage the bar and serve in the Army at the same time? I wish you the best of luck with whatever decision you decide on but it seems like a lot of liability for someone as young as you.

Are all you guys thinking you will all live upstairs?
Who will be responsible for what duties, at the bar and with the apartment?
Going into business with friends will, most likely, end with less friends! (been there, done that)
Get a business plan together, then do a "door count" every night for two weeks. Write everything down about the 'door count'.

One big thing I have found in biz......If it is successful now, why would you ever think of changing the name? That is a sure killer

Do you or your buds have any business experience or college courses in business management?
Any experience in people management and/or crowd control?

If this is what you want, be sure you're ready for it because there will be time for little else!
Good luck to ya!

without knowing anything about the place I'm with 911, don't do it.

With that said, the last time I thought that and didn't buy into a bar where I was offered a share I missed out on a GOOD DEAL OF MONEY! I would have paid off my loan by now and would be part owner of 2 bars! The second one being paid by the first...

I know on the surface this looks like a doable thing to you and your buds. However, there is allot that goed into opening and operating your own business, and especially a restaurant/bar type business.

Further, there are many issues with operating and being at "the bar" day-in, day-out.

I would strongly urge you not to go forward with being part of this "joint venture".

Best of luck in the future!

This whole post is....lol

Where you gonna get $210,000 for a bar?

I think you should stick with Plan A of joining the military. Makes a little more sense. You'll get plenty of time to hang out in bars... trust me...
