I just debreasted my turkey and the meat has a stintch to it(wife says it smells like a fart lol)

i dont remimber if the jake had that smell last year and i dont want to throw it out if that is normal.

I had it in a cooler with ice packs on it over night.

so my ? is do you still think it is ok or not?

I keep it and put it in the fridge

If you had it iced since you dressed it out, it should be fine. The smell could be what he had been eating. I have shot several birds that smelled of wild onions.

I'd try soaking them in some water, maybe salt water, cook one up and see what it tastes like...no good, don't eat anymore.

It's probably too late now, but that smell is normal for a Wild Turk Mike.

I will marinate mine in buttermilk and spices for about a day and that will get rid of it.
