This past week I had the opportunity to shoot the N ew line for Traditions. I would recommend the Pursuit II with the soft touch thumbhole stock. Traditions has made some major improvements including a breech plug that can be removed by hand. Super easy to clean, super accurate and in Mossy Oak Treestand. What more could you ask for? We shot the guns at various yardages out to 200 yards.

Whatever you get, get a good scope to go with it.

I have a Leupold Ultimate Slam. I've posted elsewhere the benefits of it over the Nikon BDC

i own both cva and thomson center rifles the t/c is a .54 caliber side lock that uses number 11 caps the cva .50 caliber is a wolf and it uses 209 primers each gun is as accurate as i can shoot oner is not better than the other i prefer to use the cva wolf for ease of loading shooting and cleaning you can buy a cva wolf for under 200 dollars and still have money left over for a scope or you can buy the cva package at cabelas that includes scope rifle and starter kit for less than 300 dollars thats what i bought i am shooting 290 powerbelt bullets using 90 grains loose american pioneer powder or sdhockeys gold powder hank
