Here's my problem. I've been noticing a significant point of impact of my arrows with what seems to be the same sight picture in different lighting conditions. I've been practicing all winter indoors in a warehouse with fair lighting. Now that the weather has warmed where I can drag my targets outdoors, the poi of my arrows moved horizontally 4-5" at 20 yds. Getting in a blind outdoors causes them to move even worse (still horizontally). I pay close attention to stance, anchor point and sight picture. When shooting from blind, I make sure my chair is turned to match how I blade my body standing.
I shoot a Mathews bow with a Trophy Ridge front sigt and a pretty large rear peep. Any ideas about what my problem might be?

Thats weird... I have to do some more thinking on this...
Do you shoot with both eyes open or one closed?

Yep the problem is the lighting itself. When I shoot 3d and then go indoors I shoot about 2 inches left. It's not the effect on the site but the effect on the peep that is doing it. More light makes peep look bigger. Less light makes it look smaller. I have a micro adjust spot hogg and I just make a left gang adjustment when I go indoors. Our range put lights in above the shooting line and I didn't have anymore problems. Then the ballasts went out and they took them down. Back to making the adjustments again.

I figured that was it, I had learned back in my competitive pistol shooting days that depending on which side of you the sun was on was the way your shots tended to go. I was hoping that a different size peep might help (and it still might). At least I know I'm not going crazy (at least over this)!! This ain't over! Keep those ideas, cards and letters comin'!!!
PS I do shoot with both eyes open, with focus on front sight.

Sarge.... I think what may be happening is your opposite eye to the sun is taking over domininance. So instead of seeing out of your right eye your left eye is doing the "aiming" and vice versa if your lefty.

I'M GONNA TRY SHOOTING DOMINATE EYE ONLY AND SEE IF THAT CORRECTS THE PROBLEM. I USUALLY TRY TO CLOSE OFF EYE WHEN I INITIALLY AIM TO ACQUIRE THE PEEP CORRECTLY, THEN OPEN IT TO GET BETTER PERIPHERAL VISION. I KINDA SWITCH BACK AND FORTH TO VERIFY, THEN LOCK IN ON THE FRONT PIN AND SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY FORMAL INSTRUCTION ON ARCHERY, SO IF THERE ARE BETTER WAYS OUT THERE PLEASE LET ME KNOW. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT I AM CAPABLE OF 3-4" GROUPS AT 40 YDS.

the reason I had asked about the eye thing is becuase I blew up some arrows trying the whole two eyes open deal...hight was good, just shot WAY to the side! You'll get it figured out, just have fun with it!
