do any of you guys run your dogs in hunt tests ?
I'm thinking of running my 4 year old again , and starting my pup in UKC later on this year.

When 90% of the ducks are killed by 10% of the hunters , It ain't luck..

I got a new pup this year and hope to run her in the AKC and UKC tests. She was going to go for her first pass at UKC this weekend, but it looks like we're not going to make it.

I have a lab that would probably do good in the dock jumping contest I see on TV. He's a good jumper and always jumping in after fish.

Sorry to hear that TCfarmer. Hopefully she fully recovers. I bet she's going stir crazy with that cast on.

I started a while back....but between wife and two kids......not too mention work......just didn't have time to do it to the level I wanted to be at.

So....hoping in a couple years when the kids get a little older so they can help out.......going to try again with a new pup.

I feel your pain guys , I coach a travel baseball team [my son's] , and I'm married with 3 children.

To beat all that I have the best dog I've ever had right now , especially for hunt tests , and I just don't have time to do it right now.

Oh BTW, I hate to see your dog in that condition TC , hope a full recovery is in your future.

Thanks guys. She should be okay. It was an incomplete fracture, the vet will be doing new x-rays at 4 weeks to check on her progress. I can't wait to get her moving again.

Only 24 days to go!

Have done a little in the past, but then had a second kid, between two kids and work.....didn't work out very well.

But....the kids are starting to get big enough now that they can help, and they are both interested, so hoping to be able to start getting out a few times per week again to get back to it. (Keeping my fingers crossed)
