I just ran across this site and wanted to pass it along to everyone. It's a great way to give back to our Marines that sacrifice so much for our freedoms, that aren't able to hunt and fish while they are deployed. I personally know several people that have done this and already received a thank you letter from the Marine they adopted. Please take a minute and check out the website, if you're strapped for cash, you can still adopt a Marine and send them letters. There are lots of Marines out there that have no one at home to send them packages and support and this will mean the WORLD to them.
Anyway, thanks for your time and attention to this matter.
Carry on,
"Adopting" is free. USPS flat rate box ($8.00) + your goods + ship it off = one morale-boosted Marine. (Marines also need LETTERS--if you're strapped.) People quit signing up to adopt after the holidays, so 1,000+ new Marines need sponsors.
Go to http://www.ryanrust.com/ (Ryan is a 15-year-old stock car driver who created a race team just to advertise his non-profit "Adopt-A-Marine" program. It has helped send 40,000+ pieces of mail to Marines, so far.)
I volunteered to help "Adopt-A-Marine" because I love the Corps. There really is no other reason. Who knows--I may help to find you and your Marines sponsors, one day.
PM me if you are interested.
Thanks for supporting a MARINE!
