I had one of those years ago. They are good guns for the money and tend
to hold up pretty good too. Not sure what you mean by "to learn on."
Are you new to shotgunning?
Oh yeah, Welcome to MO!

Cool! You couldn't pick a better shotgun to learn with. I happen to look at one at
the Wal-Mart today. It was listed for $104.95 or .99. Anyway, your right
you can't beat the price.

think i would spend an extra 50 bucks and get a used pump. ive got a pardner in .410, 20, 16, and 10, and only 2 currently work. the block that the hammer stikes fails to stay up, and so the firing pin doesnt even poke through the hole. got the 16 fixed twice now, and its still busted again, and the 20 is on the 2nd fix. had they not been handed down to me, they would be down the road.

I learned on a 20 gauge H&R, some 30 yrs ago, I guess, can't remember for sure. Bought a 12 gauge with screw in chokes about 8 yrs ago, enjoyed shooting them.
Sold it about 3 yrs later to get another gun so I could have more shot shells on hand. Just remember a single shot will make you a better shot. Most of the time. Me, I need that second
or third shot sometimes.

| I have had my 20ga. h&r for 26 years. The only thing I have ever had fixed was the bead sight replaced twice. otherwise it still shoots as good as the day it was new.
