By the way, everytime you press that little shock button the dogs heart stops beating for a second or two!

Personally, I take the time to psyche my dog and make him punish himself. All any dog wants to do for a loving master is to please him. Talking down and taking the affection away for a short time does the trick.

Some dogs, like people, can not be trained.

put some deer meat (leg or something)in a cage in there pen that they cannot get to an let it rot. They won't run a deer again. If they do sell them to a deerdoger.Worked for my grandpas beagles.

i've had plenty of beagles in the past, in which i've bought from other people. it's all in the blood. if the parents ran deer and you try to get the pups on rabbits, you may have a difficult time keeping them on one species. we've tried taking just the dog(s) we've had running deer and rabbits and put them with only rabbit dogs to try and break them but it never worked. we always had our rabbit dogs running one place and the deer/rabbit dog(s) jumping deer elsewhere and spent the rest the day catching those bastards. if you train a dog for one thing, such as rabbit, never feed it deer meat or legs. won't help at all. i doubt the electric collar is going to so well at all, maybe a blood transfusion
