| I've just bought the 50 cal T/C Omega and the Nikon Omega scope for it. I'm trying to decide on which scope rings and base to use. I was thinking about the Talley one piece Encore/Omega base and rings but alot of the reviews I read were negative with the screws used to mount being too long and another problem of not being able to move the scope far enough forward for the 5" eye relief. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated on this.

Welcome to the forum
I would try the T/C scope mounts. I think they call them "Gorilla Grip" mounts.
Good Luck

I own two T/C Encores and four barrels. (they use the same mounts as the Omega)
I have used several differn't brands then two years ago I bought my first set of Warne bases and rings. I am now switching all my barrels over to the Warne bases and rings. Very well built, very stout, and will not go anywhere.
I have a set on my 12" .480Ruger barrel and the scope has not moved. Saying alot since my deer load makes me bleed after six shots
Here a link to the mount... http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=165888
