Check out this little buster to take to the woods.
This is my Rough Rider .17 HMR 6- shot SA revolver.
It has a 6.5 in. bb and adjustable rear target sight.
I haven't took a varmit with it YET but I know what it
will do to a 2X6 at 40 yds. It's also pretty accurate.
The grips are a little narrow for my taste so I'm carving
out, ( when arther allows ), some new ones. Am I on the right forum topic with this?

That's a great looking piece crump! Too bad those grips don't fit you good, they are sharp looking! Hey, let us know how it performs for ya!

Thanks for all the good comments. I hope ya'll don't mind a RAIN check
on the performance update cause it was too RAINY today to take target
practice. If you can't tell, TOO RAINY IS A VERY GOOD THING around here.
I'll try and post pic of my groups when I shoot it again.

Thats a nice looking shooter bud! I have always loved the nostalgie of the revolver.I really like the HMR.I used the .22 for small game and when the new HMR and HM2 burst on the shooting scene I had to have one.
I first got an HM2 and was amazed with how flat it shot. Not too mention the wound channel it provided at ranges the .22 wasn`t known for.I spent a bit on the HM2 and really put the $$ out for the HMR.I gave the old Marlin model 60 the job of "coon getter".
I started wanting to retire the model 60 for a hand gun and thought this is just the job for a revolver.I had looked into a few semi-auto .22`s and was almost set on one when I thought back to the first day I shot the HMR.An 06 model Taurus SS in an HMR came up for a really great price and I bought it.

It`s a 5" 8 shot stainless model.I havn`t been able to shoot it yet.
What have you fed it?
Did you get a holster for it?
