Well, me and Romer finally got a chance to go yotie hunting this morning. We tried one set for close to an hour, with no dogs in site. Then we tried another set for about an hour, still no dogs! 
Oh well, at least we got out there and gave it a whirl. We'll be going back the next good chance we get!
Anyone else been able to get out and call some yotes yet?

I called in two last saturday morning. 1 came in about 1000 yards and decided to go and hide. Another came in close but by the time I managed to get around and get set, he decided that the 223 was too much for him to handle.

Both...I couldn't tell which one the mile yote came out too, I'm betting the mouth call. The second I was using both e-caller and mouth at the same time.
To me it just don't seem loud enough. Maybe its just me.

It's always fun to just get ou in the least.. 
I got out last weekend for a couple hours. Jena's dad and I both called using the Randy Anderson calls. No yotes came out, but it was a lot of fun. I did get some hoot owls to respond, so that was cool. We were out at his club though, and we hadn't relaly scouted too much. I hope to go out to my club where I know they're at and it should be better.

There was the District 9 PA trappers association annual coyote hunt last weekend. There were 21 dogs weighed in with the heaviest being 43.85 pounds with 2K going to that hunter. There's a link below with more details.
I didn't enter this year but I did take a walk Sunday morning, saw nothing.
