Get yourself a Mossberg 500 and be done with it. It's lightweight, short, and packs a deadly punch (shoots up to 3.5 inch shells and slugs). Not to mention that you can get one in full Mossy Oak Obsession camo with a great choke for right around $300 from Walmart. It will last you a lifetime...

| 870, hands down. Unless you do a lot of goose hunting I would stay away from the 3.5. No turkey that ever walked needs to be killed that dead. If you need to shoot farther it is easier to work on your calling. The 3.5's are not to much fun to shoot up in the air out of a blind either. That added half pound won't feel like much in the store, drag it a couple miles looking for pheasants. My 3 inch 870 has done everything I have ever needed.
