over 20 so far, tough runnin yesterday, wind chill WAY below zero & heavy winds & a hard crust made for a bad scenting day. 2 short runs in 4 hrs. Could have shot one at 10 feet but the dogs kicked it out & didnt cut the track. We dont shoot them that way. Mike

we had big floods in oklahoma last spring and i think it drowned a lot
of the first born, and run the older ones out of the bottoms.
we still can get 3 or 4 good runs each time we go out.

We managed about 20 for the season. Not bad for my first year owning my own beagles. Plus we don't have alot of rabbits around anymore. Stupid coyotes!!!!!

season is out here but we've gotten our mess for sure.. we killed 87 one morning on a 300 acre briar patch between 9 people and went out on a quail plantation and killed 260+ between 22 people, on several briar patches.. pretty crazy! these guys on the quail farm use a tractor and a huge broadcast wagon for quail feed and the rabbits are everywhere over there. i only went 4 times. it was enough!

Hey gobble, where is this at here in ky you can only kill four a day per person.
Is this on a preserve with there limits. Sounds like this is where I need to take
my new pups to start them running.
That's a boatload of rabbits.

quail plantations mainly, abundance for sure... didn't believe it until a friends father took us over there with his dogs a few years back, all depends, some years we'll kill plentiful, then we'll catch a slow one... it's crazy ... 12 a person, per day
