Thursday Jan 17th........

So how is everyone today? Hope all is well with everybody!

I got a couple questions for y'all.............. new members are also asked to respond with any ideas and concerns.

1) In what ways do you think we can improve these forums here, that some of us call home?
What would you "like" to see changed, or done differently?

2) How do you think we can make the site more fun?

3) Is there something you would like to see more of, or less of?

4) Any other ideas, concerns, or general feedback??

Even as a moderator here, I don't have the "powers" to make changes..... but I can certainly ask/request for things that our members think would make things better for our forums. Though a request may not mean that certain things can or will be changed. Our hands are tied to a certain extent with the way the programming for the message board currently stands. But we would still like to hear your thoughts! Thank you!

I hope everyone has a great, and productive day!

Ha! I'll play along. And yes I will have ideas all along until you close this thread.

1 - New forum looks good and it is different from all the other forums. BUT it doesn't work nearly as good as the old forum. It's way too slow, and I have an 8mg connection. It's not very user friendly. If this is the first board a person has ever posted on I wouldn't recomend it. I have gotten pretty comfortable navigating through the board, but I'm also a network admin so I have a pretty good clue to what I'm looking for, but if you click on the wrong thing it will take you all the way back to the main web page and now I have to take the time to go through all the steps to get back in here. To me a new user may get ticked and leave and never come back.

2 - I know that having contests are painful and no one seems to ever agree, but I think a contest for deer and turkey and maybe small game could help out. I'm not talking about a user contest, something maybe sponsored by Mossy Oak(its only a thought, I know there are leagal issues involved). Maybe users start it up and it could be possible that MO can donate something to the winners. If you think back, the most fun we had were the contests for the video's and Dan's Christmas come early threads.

3 - We need some Pro Staffers come in and post with us. I think users being able to ask something and a PRO answer their question would be awesome. I know we all help them and people appreciate that, but if a pro answered it would be like my youngest son seeing a real firefighter, he is in awe the whole time.

4 - Maybe some folks from MO Apperal post here too. I knew a guy that was their salesman, he used to tell me all the time, "we could use the feedback, if you can make improvements or you have an idea, let us know...that's how we make our product better." Well how do they hear from us?

5 - Do something different with the mods. Not with the ones we have, add some. Primos adds new mods every once in a while...even though there isn't much for a mod to do, its the point.

6 - Have MO sponsored give-aways every once in a while.

7 - Have a discount at the Online Store for users with X number of posts.

All are ideas...some good, some crazy, some bad, but they are ideas...build on them!

+1 on the above ideas! Oh yeah....And here's a fine example of one of the issues that could get addressed. I hit the qoute button and the above result of no shaded contained box and scattered text

Jason.....Making links "clickable" since July 2007!

Yes, everyone please participate in this topic!

New members, let's hear what you think about the site as you see it!

Blaze, I totally agree with you about the "quote" feature, and when editing a post..... it is quite frustrating to say the least!
