I made my own.I took an MP3 player and bought connecters to attach a small amplifier from radio shack to a 25w speaker from radio shack.I have about 100 yards of speaker wire between the amp and the speaker. That leaves the MP3 player in my hand with the volume and file control.I ripped a bunch of calls from DVD`s by a few pros.

I have about $30 into the caller...add another $20 if I had to buy the cheap MP3 player from walmart.

Wow! That's an awesome idea! It prolly works better than alot of them $200 callers that snap crackle and pop.

I have the fx3 foxpro, big bucks and big performance....the nomad by cass creek....worked ok, sound a little rough, and the johnny stewart attractor, great sounds, works too, i sold the nomad kept the fx3 and attractor. I also started out and built the home made ecaller. you can save time and make it easy by skipping the radio shack amp and powerhorn, buy a cass creek bighorm amplified speaker, you can hook up an mp3, tape or cd player to it, or hook up one of the attractor or nomads to it, it will be remote and loud!!...much easier and more convenient then the rs amp and horn combo. The bighorn is 39.99 at cabelas:

Three times louder than the standard Nomad speaker
Excellent for calling over long distances
Speaker can be set up as far as 75 ft. from call unit

The Bighorn Speaker is three times louder than the standard Nomad speaker and connects to the call unit's audio-output jack. Excellent for calling over long distances. Set the speaker up as far as 75 ft. from electronic call unit. Requires four C batteries (not included).
