I can remember a couple squirrel hunts that I saw on big-name hunting shows, but they are very rare. I saw Roger Raglin shoot rabbits with a bow on one of his shows. I think he shot jackrabbits or snowshoes one time too? And on one other show I watched a group of fellas shooting at cottontails over beagles with muzzleloading shotguns.

Those were very fun shows to watch, just because it was something different. Maybe we all need to start hounding the big shows to throw something like that in from time to time. Just think..."Lee and Tiffany Lakosky are Gettin' Close to big Iowa cottontails." Probably wont see it, but it would be fun to watch.

I haven't seen on in a long time.

Would be nice to see some thing more than deer and turkeys on a lot of these shows anymore. Of course, these are the big money makers with the big sponsors, so makes it hard for the shows to not show that as much as possible.

I know for myself though, I always try to get a few rabbit hunts in during the year, especially later in the year, in the snow. It's always a great day out in the woods between fall season and turkeys in the spring.

Fall's a comin' ...... and can't get here soon enough.

Deer season is totally over tomorrow at sunset here in Ny. Wed I will be out with my dogs & the fun begins. I have 1 pup I have been training & 2 seasonesd bunny burners. I love deer hunting but rabbits is even more fun IMO. I will run every chance I get for the next 2 months. I can understand why the networks dont show it much. They cant make any money on it. All my deer huntin buddies say they want to come out for bunnies but if I have 2 guys show up all season thats alot. Its ok with me I will be out regardless. Its a blast & very inexpensive but rewarding hobby. Mike

Sweet! I was keeping my eyes open at my place for where they'll be and I have a few spots that I know contain a few of the little buggers!

The guys that own land to the north of me asked permission and I told them not without me, we'll see if they ever call back and I ran some tresspassers off another piece the other day...hunting the wrong side of the fence!! AARG!!! Stupid people!

I can't agree more. we need more rabbit shows. I have 3 beagles, and we are out every chance we can get, after deer season. I have 2 rabbit hunting videos that I had ordered probably 5 years ago, they are still fun to watch.
