Put a couple pounds of deer roast (any cut really) in a crock pot with lots of onion (cut how you like), green peppers, banana peppers (any kind of peppers you like), and some fresh mushrooms.
Add any and all kinds of dry seasonings you like (I like lots of black pepper).
As the meat tenderizes (cooks a while), shred up the meat with a fork.... let simmer.
Then apply to any type of bread you wish (I used hoagie rolls).... and slap on your favorite cheese (I used melted jalapeno jack cheese).
Way easy to make, and very delicious!
You should try it sometime, I think you'll like it!

It just depends really. Sometimes I'll throw a whole roast in the crock pot while it's still frozen. Sometimes not. Also depends on how big of a piece of meat you're using....
Just till the meat is soft enough to shred apart with a fork!
They ARE really good tho...... give it a try!!
