try this ,it's good 1/4 cup flour,,1 tsp salt,1/4 tsp pepper,1 rabbit cut into quarters,1/4 olive oil,1 can of beer(flavor of choice) combineflour,salt,pepper in a gallon plastic bags. shake in pieces of rabbit until pieces are covered evenly. ..... brown both sides in oil in heavy skillet,,reduce heat add beer and cook slowly 40 to 50 until tender. for chrisp crust uncover pan last 15 to 20 minutes. then enjoy

I'd like to know what the outcome was and how that bunny was cooked.

My favorite recipe for cottontails is:


Quarter rabbit and dredge pieces in seasoned flour. I use Lowry's Seasoned Salt to taste.
Brown the rabbit pieces in butter or oil.

Slice up a large onion and add it to a dutch oven along with a bunch of sliced up mushrooms. Place rabbit pieces over the onions, then cover with beef broth. Bring to boil, then simmer for 2-3 hours until rabbit is tender and ready to fall off the bone. At the end, stir in about a cup of sour cream. Serve over noodles or mashed taters.

I just did one up the other day in my Dutch Oven. One pot meal. Cut up rabbit, flour it and brown it. Layer it in dutch oven and pour in a can of cream of celery soup. Add a few spuds, some onion and carrots if you got um. Season and cook. I was using charcole .. 12 under and 10 on top. But you could do the same at 325 - 350 for an hour plus.
