Your always shootin from 20yds. Some on the screen look farther but you always shoot 20yds.

RE: If you like 3D shootin youll like this.

I've often wondered how these work. If your standing 20 yards from the screen wouldn't every shot be 20 yards. How does it work? I've always wanted to try one but never got the chance. I did shoot the pop up targets in the Buckmasters tournament one time. Great fun but cost to much to do it for fun.

RE: If you like 3D shootin youll like this.

Well keslar, there is a small business down the road here call Fox Pro calls. They hold an indoor 3D shoot every friday january through march. It goes from like 6-10 at night and cost $10 bucks the first round and $5 the second. If you could do somthin like that alot of people would probally show up. The last time I was at a video shoot the guy said that he was busy all week! Yoders up in Mcveytown that has the Darton system has leage shoots at his place. $35 bucks to get in and $7 a week to shoot compared to $4 a half hour. But that is some ideas for ya to try out. Like I said in the one reply above, not sure of where to get a hold of oneof these systems. But they do pass the time.

RE: If you like 3D shootin youll like this.

Yea if you hit an obstruction or just plain out miss you will get a know score. But it would be the same way in the woods if you hit a branch or missed. No animal then. But the video shoots can be fun if you have a friend along.

RE: If you like 3D shootin youll like this.

I shot one of them years ago. It was okay. I remember it giving me a no score on one shot cause of a branch or something.

RE: If you like 3D shootin youll like this.

Not exactly sure of where to get this systems at. Was wondering where you could get something like that. A good friend of mine and me were looking at starting a winter shooting club around our small community. Any ideas?

If you like 3D shootin youll like this.

I have always been a big fan of shootin 3D. Still am though of course. But if you have ever heard of a video shoot then youll know what Im talkin about. Yes a video shoot. What this is is a big screen with like a mesh netting over it. You gotta change your field tips out before you shoot to blunt tips so that you dont shoot a hole through the screen. They range, the blunt tips that is, 75 to I think 125 gr tips.

Now there is two different type of programs. One is the techno hunt which I love to shoot. And the other is called the Darton. The techno hunt allows you to veiw your fps, score and where you hit the animal. The Darton system only shows you where you hit the animal and that is it.

Now ifyou are shootin with a friend or by yourself, doesnt matter how, you stand at 20yds and wait for whatever you decide to shoot to come up. Whent it does it is like you are out in the woods huntin and watchin what ever animal you are shootin at. You can tell the guy that has the system how many arrows you want to shoot and after lets say 3 arrows, you go down and pic them up. When the animal is on the screen though its just lke bein in the woods. Poor shot angle, obstruction. The only things is in the woods you dont get timed out. If I remember right its about a minute.

The techno hunt gives you 30 seconds in between shooters to get ready. I have always liked shootin with someone else there because it gets a lil competitive. For a 30 hour where I shoot on the Techno hunt its $7. On the darton system its $4. At least it was the last time I was up. But you will have to find out if you have one in your area. Never tried it? Youll love doin it in the winter when archery is done. Gauranteed!
