Also, coyotes are most active between 4 and 6 morning and evening. Our best sucess has come shortly before daylight.

RE: Whats the best way to hunt coyotes.

Quite likely they heard or saw the truck. Hide the truck a hundred yards or farther away, stay quiet and use the wind to your advantage. I think coyotes are harder to hunt then whitetails. You need to keep everything in your favor.

RE: Whats the best way to hunt coyotes.

I was set up about 20 yds away from my truck in a field and it ranged anywhere from 7:30pm to 10:20. But while I was coutin around I had found many of tracks around the place that I hunt. I know that they are also in the other to farms that we went to last night. We tried a locator call and also a coton tail rabbit in distress. Nothin answered or cam in. Not even a fox. What does anyone else do for coyotes? Not sure if their range is just so large that they had move to another area or what.
