I was just wondering what others are seeing for lifespan of thier trailcams. Here is where I'm at with two of mine.

One is a Stealthcam STC-WD1, this one takes a black picture quite often. I thought it was the flash from the timestamp but after this morning I don't think so. The first pix of me approaching was okay, then two blackouts. This cam is 2.5 years old.

Another is a Wildview X3, the last two times I've had it out it's taken less than 20 pix and has dead batteries when I check it a week or so later. This cam is less than a year old.

What are others seeing for a lifespan? Anyone have cams that have been good to then for 5+ years or so? I inatalled new batteries and set the time. When I left it the display showed 237 pix already on the card. A week later I check it and it still showed 237 pix and the display was flashing which I thought was strange. I turned it off and it wouldn't shut down. I ended up pulling a battery to get it to shut off. I swapped the card out and tyurned it back on only to find that now the batteries are dead. So I brought it home, put new batteries in, a blank card and checked it out here at the desk. All seems to be fine.

In the manual it says to only use a blank card. Do you think that would happen if the pictures already on the card are more pixels than the camera is capable of it gets confused? I also noticed I had a pst file on there for Outlook, I'm sure that didn't help. I just thought it was strange that it would lock up and drain the batteries like that.

HUGE CUDDEBACK SALE!!

Passing on the info.....................................................

Factory Authorized Inventory Reduction Sale

Non Typical the makers of the Cuddeback Digital Trail Camera has currently dropped their price on all brand new 2007 model cameras.

These are the best prices you will see on these cams.

You will find the Seed n Feed on the top of the list of factory authorized dealers on www.Cuddebackdigital.com

We have been dealing with trail cams from day one and offer exceptional customer service both before and after the sale.

Since this sale was initiated by the factory we have no control as to how long these prices will last but as of now they are as below.

No Flash - $299.00

Expert - $269.00

Excite - $215.00

Bear Safes - $29.00

CuddeView Field Viewer - $125.00

1 GIG CF Card - $23.00

All cams come with a full one year factory warranty and as always we’ll pick up the shipping.

Visa and MasterCard over the phone.
No Refurbs available at this time.

Thanks
Bernie and Paul
www.fifieldseednfeed.com
715-762-2667
"Headhunters custom Mossy oak" Camera box

Bowbo's post reminded me to bring my pics over here.

HEY ERNIE...

Wildview Xtreme Twin-Pack 2.0 Megapixel Digital Scouting Cameras

[url]http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0052726&type=pod&cmCat=oneshot-door[url/]
http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0052726&type=pod&cmCat=oneshot-door

They are 'two fer one' right now at Cabelas.

Digital Binoculars

Hi, I'm looking into buying a pair of binoculars with the digital camera capabilities.. I was able to view the pix on my Nikon digital cam but when I put the 2.0GB in my card reader that goes into the USB port, it says nothing is there. I have a 1.0GB card for my Nikon that is made by the same folks, do you all think it could be that the card reader can't handle the 2.0GB card? I can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance.

I have a Moultrie 4.0 mp, SanDisk SD cards, & a Lexar card reader.

My Wildview...........

I pulled it today........out about a week....new SD card...

Batteries were dead when I picked it up - but they were cheapies...

NOT ONE PICTURE.....ZIP - ZILCH - NADA - NOTHING...

It goes back......I'll trade it in for a new one...maybe even 2 of the "cheapies"

Wildview Video Capabilities?

I see Bowbo posted some up - but I cant view them at work.....

But it gave me a great idea of putting mine out over a scrape this fall!

How are the videos of these little gems?
