Are you for real?

It all depends on the season and what you are hunting.

For rabbits, all you need is a knife and a stringer to hang them off and maybe a bottle of water if you get thirsty a lot.

For deer all you need is a knife and a rope and a pair of gloves and a box of shells and a sandwich and a couple of candy bars and a bottle of water or soda.

Turkeys, a couple of calls and a camo hat and face net and gloves and about 10 shells.

A gun or bow(bow more than a gun for me.) and water. A man can die in this heat down here.

I usually pack light. I have deer cleaning stuff and lights maybe a snack. I have binocs and a few clothing items.

Personally I try to pack as light as possible,its great to have every single luxury on hand but its wise to think farther ahead,you gotta ask yourself once youve got everything packed together,"am I going to be able to haul a deer,bear,elk .etc. carrying all this gear with me?" I play it safe and take only what I "know" Im going to need.

What all do you all take with you when you hunt? Everything under the sun, or just the basics? I've been trying to take everything under the sun, and by the time I get to my hunting spot, I'm too tired to hunt! I think this year, I'll just take what I truly need!
