Just read the entire thread. Turns out boy wasn't sent home for wearing camo. He got into an argument with another student about wearing camo.

I teach and when camo is wore I compliment students on it. We have kids who don't hunt that will wear a camo pair of shorts or a shirt. I think that it is great that a kid isn't afraid to sport the camo. Now, we have had the camo Hooters shirt or a camo adult beverage shirt that has to be turned inside out, but I think that the reasons there are obvious. The only thing I wonder is if they let those kids wear those pants that allow a person to see their underwear because they are made for a xl person and these kids might go 120 pounds after they step in out of a downpour, or let the cheer squad walk around in their, less than acceptable length, shorts?

It seems to me my kids wear camo a couple times a week.That would be all new wardrobes or home schooling.the latter being the better

That is the biggest load of Crap I have ever heard of, I used to wear camo to school all the time! He could have at least worn Mossy Oak though!

Man when i went to school we always wore cammo. Especially during hunting season. We all hunted before school and was right back in the woods at the end of the day. Sometimes didnt even stay to the end of school to go back. I went to school after field dressing a deer and had the deer in the back of my truck once. I was even late to school because of it. The only thing that was said was nice buck. There is no way that i would just sit back and let that happen.

Thats BS! Too bad the kids folks are not military. Show up in BDU camo to the superintendant's office and ask to speak to him. First words out of my mouth would be "Forgive me for my attire, If it offends you I can come back later but what I have to say cannot wait." Naturally anyone with half a brain would not turn them away and that's when I'd rip into them.

I'm forever fussing at my teenage cousin to pull her shirt up She's 15 and thinks just because she has boobs the world needs to see them
I made her a dress this summer and she wanted the bottom hemmed so short I asked her if she expected me to make matching panties..................

Her dad set her straight on the dress hem..............

EXACTLY. Some of the shirts young girls wear is simply......crazy i guess. Young girls can wear that junk but a young man gets guff for a camo shirt....i don't get it.

oh good grief. After all the crap they let kids get away with the pull a kid for camo????

My mom is a caf. manager at a elem. school and I have went and stood at the end of the serving line and saw girls wearing stuff that I would be emBAREASSed to wear myself. and make-up that looks like it belongs in a red light district...........

Now I will admit I used to wear a tank top under a button up shirt and loose the shirt during horticulture if I was working and I got busted for wearing the tank in the school building a couple times during break but I always got out of it. I told the principal I'd put on more clothes just as soon as the cheerleaders did................ out the door no porblems

Totally ridiculous... If I was his parents I would be knocking some heads around for that. Everyone complains that kids need to be in school, this, that, and the other, but it seems that administrators at school are mostly to blame... Why send him home for that? Why not just have him change shirts with a school t-shirt or something?

It's kinda like the time I get kicked out and nearly expelled in the middle of a final exam my senior year because I had water balloons in my truck. Then they took the water balloons...

I could understand if he had a rebel flag on it or even some blood...but that's totally ridiculous. At least he probably got to go to the woods right away though...

I'd really hate for that to happen at my old high school. Probably about half the students would have been happy...come to school for a little while and be sent home...just makes getting in the woods a lot faster!!!
