Well i have been lookin at a hangon for a particular spot and implulse caused me to buy it. Besides $90 for the stand and sticks is hard to beat. I like to make and have all my hunting clothing scent free, but feel these is just as much as important as that.

I have seen a lot of information out for hunters on scent with clothing, deodorant, and some showering products. There is so much more to eliminated scent to help out our hunting odds against the game we pursue. Here is a list of other home remedies that can help the hunter further their scent-free tactics for the hunt.

Body odor can be under control in 3 days by adding 5-10 drops of Rose Water to bath water and soak for at least 15 minutes.Serious body odor can be controlled by adding 3 cups of tomato juice to bath water and soak for at least 15 minutes. It is recommended to rinse and exfoliate after one of these or any bath/shower to rid dead cells off body and then use non-scented soap to finish showering. The following remedies below can also help total body odor.

Bad Breath
Causes:

·Alcohol
·Stress
·Diet/Food
·Dehydration
·Milk intolerance
·Poor Digestion
·Imbalance of Good and Bad Bacteria in the Gut
·Dental Problems
·Smoking
·Medications like decongestants and diuretics

Changes to Make:

Oral Hygiene

·Brush teeth/tongue and floss
·Get teeth cleaned and cavities filled at dentist
·Use Hydrogen Peroxide as mouth wash
·Brush gums and tongue with powdered cloves or myrrh
·Brush tongue with antibacterial products like chlorhexidine
Dietary

·Eliminate or reduce high-fat and high-protein foods because they can be hard to digest and give off gas.
·Eliminate acidic foods that create great places for bacterial growth.
·Eliminate or reduce sugars because bacteria feed off the sugar.
·Garlic, onions, and exotic spices (Ex. Curry) can have compounds exhaled for 24 hours in your breath.
·Cut out cheeses (blue, camembert, and Roquefort) and canned tuna and anchovies.
·Cut out acidic drinks like coffee and tea.
·Eat more fruit like kiwi, papaya, and pineapple along with vegetables (green is better).

Supplements

·Vitamin B & C, along with Zinc can help bad breath.

Digestive System

·Yogurt, Acidophilus, or Bifidus can add beneficial bacteria and improve digestive system.
·Decreasing hydrochloric acid comes with age and can be fixed with taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before each meal or take betaine or pepsin tablets to help digestion.
·Drink plenty of water.
·Eat plenty of fiber.

Cures

·Apple cider vinegar before meals.
·Brush teeth with baking soda or baking soda/hydrogen peroxide paste.
·Take charcoal tablets.
·Gargle hydrogen peroxide or salt water.
·Take alfalfa tablets.
·Chew anise (licorice flavored seed), cardamom, dill, or fennel seeds.
·Take Chlorophyll and/or Spirulina in liquid or tablet form.
·Drink Wheat Grass with water on an empty stomach.
·Eating filberts (hazelnuts) absorbs bad breath.
·Chewing mint, parsley, basil, rosemary, thyme, and wintergreen help bad breath.
·Suck on a lemon with salt on it.
·Dissolve Silicea tablets under tongue twice a day.

Foot Odor
Cures

·Soak feet for 30 minutes in 1 teaspoon or Alum and 1 or 2 gallons of water.
·Soak feet in Apple Cider Vinegar with warm water.
·Pour Baking Soda in socks and boots.
·Take Zinc tablets.

Sweaty Hands
Cures

·Witch hazel or alcohol wipes wiped on hands will shrink pores and reduce sweating.
·Drink Sage Tea.
·Take Zinc tablets.
__________________
Team Spot-Hogg

Mossy Oak Infinity Camo

Anyone know when this will be available and if they have more pics?

Never Buying Another Scentblocker Product Again!

The title says it all. Last year before my trip to Texas I picked up a brand new pair of Scentblocker Dream Season Boots on clearance for $99. I thought I got one heck of a deal. Little did I know they wouldn't last. They got me into and through deer season, with a little moisture getting in. Then turkey season came around and they were shot. Every puddle, every creek I crossed, any type of water I stepped in, would get in the boots. I don't know what happened to them. They were supposed to be waterproof? So then yesterday after cleaning around the house and putting away my turkey stuff, I found my boots. So I decided to call up Scentblocker and explain my problem and see what they would do about it.

I was given a blatant NO. We can't do anything. You have to go back to the retailer you bought them at and they have to warranty it. I bought these boots at ******'s Sporting Goods, a solid 1/2 hour ride from my house. So after having a few choice words with this woman, I dug up the receipt and called ******'s to explain my problem and see if I could exchange them. I spoke to a woman in Footwear and she said to come in and the exchange would be ok. So I get up there, get the boots, head over to the exchange register and I was told NO. You can't exchange this because the transaction is over 90 days old. I tell her to get her manager. Her manager comes down and says the same exact thing. So I tell the manager that I wanted to speak to her boss. Her boss comes down and after I have a few select words with all 3 of them, he says I could do the exchange. I ended up having to pay a $20 + $10 (tax) difference in the price of the boots. So I finally got the 2009 Scentblocker Dream Season Boots.

I was extremely angry after going through all of that with Scentblocker and ******'s. I told ******'s about how the manufacturer wasn't backing it's product and how I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of customer service I was receiving from both them and a brand they carried.

But honestly, I'm never going to buy a Scentblocker product again. They have horrible customer service and I'm disgusted with them.
What type of Rifle...Ok ok ok...

I am sure this has been asked 1 million times but I am getting ready to purchase a rifle to start my deer hunting career.

A. Not for sure if I am in the right section / forum to post this question in or not so I will copy this and post it in the Wildlife Management section as well. I'm looking at buying a game feeder with a timer. I don't want to put a whole lot of money into one since I have had to re-arrange my budget due to the economy. Getting laid off of work every other week here and there and having to take a 5% pay decrease is starting to take its toll on my yearly spending of hunting supplies and such,... but,... anyway back to the main topic, a Feeder. I know that there is several on the market and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or input. I have gone to Cabelas and to Bass Pro and read some of the reviews and now I'm turning to all of you for info and input. I am looking to keep the price range around or below $100.00. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Also I was wondering if anyone owns or knows anyone that owns the "Kenco" Feeders with the straight shooter timer attachment. These look pretty awesome but I was wondering how loud they may be. I know some feeders are loud when they go off and once the deer or turkey get used to them its like ringing the dinner bell. I have even done some research on making my own or making homemade gravity feeders and probably will give this a shot but I also know that once the deer find them it will be a job just to keep them refilled....... Again, any info or input is greatly appreciated.

WARM BOOTS!!

Last night, I broke down and bought me some new boots........... went with some PAC BOOTS for warmth in the late season!

Ordered the LaCrosse Alpha Rack Master -120F Pac Boots
800 Grams Thinsulate Ultra, with Fleece lining, and body heat retaining neoprene.... No discount there.

The Big Box had a discount based upon how much you spend and this scope would qualify for the max amount.

Finally, I just did a quick Google of it and holy cow! A well known NY camera store had it for the lowest prices without coupons or rebates. A camera store? In NYC selling hunting scopes?!

Well, heck, that has to be a sight for the NY liberals that may walk into a camera store and see that! Well, they are a quality camera store so what the heck! I ordered from them.

I have to visit that store some day. I would have never figured a NYC camera store for a hunting scope!

So what's on your Christmas list?

Ok.
