I use a 58 Caliber Dixie Gun works German Reproduction Jaeger hunting rifle, Flintlock. Mine has a custome made barrel in .58 caliber and is engraved. I cast my own Minie Balls. 500 Grain Lymans with 100 grains FF. Take a look at www.dixiegunworks.com

They have a Hawkens Woodsman made by traditions in .50 caliber. They also have a Thompson center hawkens in .50 and .54. If you want a fancy one, Pedersoli offers the Rocky mountain hawken in .54 caliber. Dixie gun works carries everything you need for Muzzleloading.

Looking for a Hawkin flintlock muzzleloader.

50 caliber or larger.

When I was younger, my neighbor owned one and all his friends owned one and we shot it many times and I really enjoyed shooting it.

I have the devices to measure out the powder and even the new style powder that is non corrosive. I just don't have the muzzle loader.

I never caught on with these so called modern muzzle loaders and I am hesitant about buying anything else because the hunting season in Pennsylvania calls for a flint lock rifle only.
Open sights - no scopes.

Does anyone have any idea's?
