this yr will be a
PSE X FORCE treestand GX ...
70# set at peak
28'' plus string loop
used whisker bis. last yr. it ate up my vanes as i shoot nearly everyday . gonna try a hostage this yr and see how she does.
since im a lefty i always get sweet deals on left overs .. i bought my new pse for this yr at about 300 hun under retail so sweet a deal i had to take it . Super smooth draw and i really like the versatility of its compact size . 28 inches from axle to axle makes it super easy to wield in nearly any situation, and all this without sacrifices power .. it boast a 330 ibo rating, so im hoping to shoot around 310ish .. unfortunately i lose speed because of my draw length . Its being set with my gear and tuned, should be able to shoot in a week or less. Cant wait to see if it was worth the uprgrade !

I have only owned 4 bows. An old Hoyt Raider(which I still have for some reason) then a golden eagle something or nother, then a browning patriot, and now I shoot the Browning Illusion, which I feel is a great bow, at least compaired to my past bows. I've shot a few hoyts, including a v-tec and the Alpha max 32, which is a great bow. But the Browning models is what I'm most loyal to. I shoot a browning 7mm gun and have a browning knife and a browning flashlight, ****** I even have a browning steering wheel cover. I do like the PSE bows also, which make browning, so it's all good. When I buy a new bow in a few years I'll give PSE a try first, but then try some of the other makes as well.

I have always hunted with pse and have shot other bows. But I have always found the pse to be, to me, the smoothest bow that I have shot.

Yeah? Sweet! I got the Realtree APG Black Out on my Alpha Max 35, cams. Will be having the same color on my Katera XL, too. Those two line-ups by Hoyt are the cream of crops. Awesome shooting bows.

I can understand how you feel about the very price issue on the bow, Texoma. Heck, that's why I paid 50 bucks less than the retail asking price on Hoyt AM35 along with Katera XL (yes, I ordered another one! D-OHH! I cannot help it!). I couldn't complain. Prices being set for such bow we all want to pursue, we end up being TOOOO sensitive paying for what the actual bow really cost. Of course, due to economic times we all go through. We all can relate, Texoma.

mathews wasnt impressed with all the hype they recieve
hoyt i liked them
but i have only hunted with pse i have 2 nova4 split limb super fast and whitetail extreme a great bow for the price had firestorm lite loved it but somebody wanted it more than me i hate thieves but i shoot pse and will allways be faithfull as im buying an xforce or dreamseason with my taxes

I hate to bring a guilt trip on myself. I sold the 2006 Bowtech Constitution. My lovely wife convinced me to give Hoyt a try. Told her, as long it ain't Katera XL. She said, NO, try the new line-up Hoyt added: Alpha Max. I tried AM32 and AM35. My jaw just simply went: I was in for a REAL surprise! I felt comfortable with AM35 and just had to B U Y it. Shoot, son, am I so guilty for such a bow! Dangnabit! I oughta hit me head on one of'em four walls around me.

The first time I shot a Bear Instinct I was hooked! I got a GREAT deal at Sportsmans Warehouse. The only thing Id change about it would be a solid handle and have it in my favorite camo MO Bottomland!

I have always shot a PSE and have always enjoy them. To me they are a smooth and quiet bow. I first started with a PSE Nova and enjoyed it. Now I shoot a PSE whitetail extreme and it is very smooth and quiet. There is no string leachs or anything on the string and it is really quiet. I dont think I would shoot any other bow than a PSE. Alot of my friends shoot others like mathews, bowtech, and a martin. They like them but I am a PSE shooter for life.

I'm new here. Bear with my honesty and experience.

Hey, y'all! Heck, I have 3 Bowtech bows. Two of'em are Bowtech Commanders, 2007 and 2008. One of'em is a Constitution. I also have Fred Bear The Truth in 2007 model, despite the 2008 and now. I used to have 2005 Bowtech Old Glory as well as Bowtech Allegiance. I am comfortable shooting Bowtech. I've shot as many good quality bows as I can get my hands on'em. I'm impressed with the lots of them but always go back to Bowtech.

My wife wanted to buy me Hoyt Vectrix XL. Asked her, why? She said TOUGH AS NAILS when she asked her classmate who bowhunt. Know what my reply was? I've dropped Fred Bear The Truth bow 3 times from my treestand in 2008 season. Did it fail shooting? She answered, "no, it did not. It still shoot beautifully." Heck, son, nothing wrong with my bows that I have.

Each bowhunter have their comfortable shooting zone and feel of the bow. Not all bowhunters are the same. That makes us bowhunters interesting, eh? I think and strongly believe that each bow manufacturer makes awesome and innovative bows. I see quality of their bows. They're GREAT! It's just boils down to each bowhunter's preference in the draw, comfort zone, and feel of the bow. Some of'em end up switching. Some of'em stick with one brand loyalty.

One thing we all can agree: we shoot our bow, let our arrows fly, hit its mark, and let the animal run off blood trails for us to find. If it results a dead animal lying on the ground, we all have already succeeded the kill. Enough said.

I have been hunting with my seven year old Darton Mustang, at 264 with a 350 arrow. What a great experience, tough and durable never out of tune. Just purchased the 2008 Darton 3000 Pro; wow, smooth & fast.
I have been watching all the bow companies develop the cams and the technology to produce the speed. As it has been said before; Darton is the engineering & technology company that’s who they are. Will they need to improve their marketing to stay ahead, that’s on them. But with the 2.5 cam it is the next revelation of bows; cams system, with a yoke and third string track that will keep the cams & bow in tune. They will be receiving long term royalties for a long time on this great new system.

All interesting choices that people put out. My self I shoot a hoyt razortec 03 model.
Went this year to get a Bowtech General,had a little sticker SHOOCK!!, or a new string for the hoyt. Long story short, got a new string. I shot indoors, on team, we took 1st overall and my teammate shoots a Gaurdian. It's all in what fits you and what you can afford.

I have owned different bows from PSE to Jennings, but for some reason my favorite
bow is a High Country Extreme. I have alot of fun on targets and on deer with it. I am currently
attempting to take a gobbler with it. I would not trade it for anything.

2006 I tried all the top bows I could get my hands on and some less 'popular' brands (whisper creek, etc.)
I came home with the PSE Diablo.

I MIGHT upgrade to the X-Force if some things work out. The X-Force also has the BEST grip which was perfect for my hands and form.
The X-Force will give me the same bow dynamics and a LOT more speed.

PSE is my bow of choice and has been since I began hunting over 25 years ago.

I currently shoot a Mossy Oak X for 3D tournaments and a Thunderbolt X for hunting.

I voted parker. Ive only owned three bows, two of which where bear. No complaints with them either. I've shot a couple different ones but this parker is the one that has put he food on the table year after year. Dont fix what aint broke. Although looks like sonnyboy is outgrowing the browning so I guess I get new he gets parker.

I shoot a Bowtech, but it was really luck of the draw between Bowtech and Matthews. When I decided to get back into archery after a twenty year pause, I felt that my 1980 Bear Whitetail Hunter was a bit outdated. I was determined to get either a Bowtech or a Matthews after doing some research and the first dealer I walked into carried Bowtech. They are great shooting bows...Now I just have to find a deer or elk that will let me get close enough to take a shot. It just isn't the same as using my 7mm!

I like a few wheelie bows, I still shoot my mathews nearly daily and have shot others. BUT ive always had a thing for Lever/Cam bows( ONIEDA ) and my new love, Lever/Lever ( MONSTER BOWS )

IMHO...

The monster bows phoenix tops all i have ever shot. I primarily shoot a hunting set up. Sometimes i will throw on a long stab and maybe a rear for some 3D's but i try to shoot what i hunt with or close to it.. The Phoenix is the ultimate hunting bow and the easiest one i have ever seen to tear down and adjust.. The whole bow without a press can be tore apart and adjusted with 2 allen wrenches..

I will have an opinion of there new Dragon later this year..

I think your right about Mathews. Alot of companies don't really make target specific bows and by that I mean Longer ATA, Generous BH, and still pretty fast. Mathews does a good job of putting money into both ends of the market. Most companies just put some bows out and they are great bows but their target bows are the same as their hunting bows.......just painted instead of Camo dipped.

Hoyt makes some KILLER target bows.

I voted Hoyt. I shoot all the new bows every year and keep ending up with Hoyt. I have no bias, just like the better after giving all the others a chance. To me they are the perfect mix between smooth draw and raw speed.
My current collection of compounds is
80# Vulcan
60# Vectrix
80# Trykon XL
70# Ultratec(x2)
70# Havoctec

I'm looking real hard at getting the KateraXL this year and maybe an Ultra Elite or Pro Elite
