My self I shoot a hoyt razortec 03 model.
Went this year to get a Bowtech General, had a little sticker SHOOCK!!, or a new string for the hoyt. Long story short, got a new string. I shot indoors, on team, we took 1st overall and my teammate shoots a Gaurdian. It's all in what fits you and what you can afford.

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

I have owned different bows from PSE to Jennings, but for some reason my favorite
bow is a High Country Extreme. When I decided to get back into archery after a twenty year pause, I felt that my 1980 Bear Whitetail Hunter was a bit outdated. I was determined to get either a Bowtech or a Matthews after doing some research and the first dealer I walked into carried Bowtech. They are great shooting bows...Now I just have to find a deer or elk that will let me get close enough to take a shot. It just isn't the same as using my 7mm!

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

been loving my alpine so far. no on the list, though. if i had to pick from the list, id go martin. i didnt vote.

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

I like a few wheelie bows, I still shoot my mathews nearly daily and have shot others. BUT ive always had a thing for Lever/Cam bows( ONIEDA ) and my new love, Lever/Lever ( MONSTER BOWS )

IMHO...

The monster bows phoenix tops all i have ever shot. I primarily shoot a hunting set up. Sometimes i will throw on a long stab and maybe a rear for some 3D's but i try to shoot what i hunt with or close to it.. The Phoenix is the ultimate hunting bow and the easiest one i have ever seen to tear down and adjust.. The whole bow without a press can be tore apart and adjusted with 2 allen wrenches..

I will have an opinion of there new Dragon later this year..

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

hutchies (11/29/2007)
I think your right about Mathews. Look at Primos, he put his name on a bow that only sold to Wal-Mart and now Fred Bear is back in the game and making really good bows. It took me from January 07 to June 07 to find a bow I liked. I shot a lot of bows during this time period. Just go to several pro shops and shoot some. About February 08 I'll be looking for a new bow again, I'm not going to look hard because I'm rather satisfied with my nail driver I have now. Just be patient and search around, ask questions, don't buy the first bow you see. Then once you pick out a bow, shop around for it. I got my Allegiance for $630, retail on that puppy is $749!

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

Go shoot the Mathews, Hoyts, and Bowtechs.............All 3 are great brands and great bows.

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

Well i know people like many different kinds of bows and even some people own a few different kinds. I know of people who own around 8 or 9 bows but they still swear by a certain brand even though they own different brands. You always have your go-to-bow. I have only owned 3 bows. The first two were hand me downs and also Dartons. My third one i have had for 8 years now. Great bow no real complaints about it. I have shot many different bows and right now i still really like the Darton bows. I hear a lot of good things about bowtech and i think my next bow will be a bowtech (not for sure though, still researching) and retire my current bow to bowfishing only. im not asking this question to see what i should buy, its just a curiousity question to see what people say about their favorites and their least favorites.

RE: Favorite Bow Company?

Weatherby, Ruger, and Marlin...

No I got one of them stick and string contraptions too....it's called a PSE Vengeance I think....correct me if I'm wrong Jason..... but keep that on the DOWN LOW....I don't want the DNR to hear about it.
